Nancy Ariss is a local mixed media artist who lives and creates art in Wellington County.  Camera always in hand influenced by her seeing a photo everywhere she travels in Wellington County and beyond. She is moved by everyday landscapes and the mystical elements found in mother nature. Inspiration comes from wandering near and far, utilizing her photography in many of her encaustic and mixed media art pieces. Drawn to the medium of wax, the fluidity, the unexpected, the imperfections are all elements which can be seen in the multiple layers encapsulated in the pieces which tells a visual story of a moment in time.
