Anne Dixon

There are virtually endless combinations of colour, pattern and texture that come into play when I design a hand-woven fabric.  I often look to the world around me for inspiration on the colour palate, then focus on creating an item that is fit to task in durability, drape, and ease of care.

I prefer to work with natural fibres; sourced in Canada, organic when possible, and often hand-dyed.

I find joy in making beautiful things that people will use every day.  Though scarves and shawls in luxurious fibres represent much of my work, even the modest tea towel can offer exquisite design opportunities.
