Gail Brown

Gail has always been inspired by natural landscapes either local or from her travels. She grew up on a farm with plenty of opportunities to explore all that the outdoors had to offer. These interests show up in her paintings.

Gail came to art late in life but has taken many opportunities to learn and advance quickly. She has been working seriously in soft pastels for the past 6 years. She loves the spontaneity of the medium, the vibrant colours and the ability to create many moods.

She is a member of the Octarines, the Stone Gable Artists, the Wednesday Painters and the Elora Fergus Studio Tour. Her work has been shown in two local shows: Escape: Transcending Bounds at the Elora Centre for the Arts and A Century Later: The Otarine Artist Inspired by A.J. Casson at the Wellington County Museum.
